Hi! I’m Garrett. I’m a writer and organizer. I live in Milwaukee with my wife and two kids. I write about White people, racism, community, and how to build a better world. I also run organizing trainings (about all that same stuff). I have a lot of opinions about mixtapes, regional sandwiches, and the professional basketball team that shares my last name, but I won’t bug you about those unless you ask.

I wrote a book! It’s called The Right Kind of White and it’s about a lifetime spent trying to prove that I was better than other White people (and how doing so wasn’t all that helpful).
